What is a Geep?
A Geep is a permanent, human-readable address for any physical location, event or thing. Think of it like a domain name — but for the real world instead of the internet. Every Geep starts with ! followed by a name: !David, !David.home, !northsydney.library.
What is a sub-Geep?
A sub-Geep is a location that lives under your primary Geep. If !David is your identity, then .home is your front door, .work is your office, and .address is your mailing address. Sub-Geeps let you be as specific as you need.
How do I share my Geep?
Tap "Send a Link" on any Geep and share it via SMS, WhatsApp, email — whatever suits. The person you share it with can open the link and navigate straight there. No app needed on their end.
Who can see my Geeps?
You decide. Every Geep has three visibility settings — Public (anyone), Shared (only people you share the link with), or Private (only you). You can change this at any time.
What is .now?
.now is your living location history. It quietly records where you go as you move through your day — privately, only visible to you. You can choose to share your current location with trusted people. Recording and sharing are completely independent — you control each one separately. Nothing is recorded or shared until you turn it on.
Do I need to download an app?
Geepers works in any mobile or desktop browser — no download needed. For background location recording with .now, the Geepers native app is available for Android (iOS coming soon).
How much does it cost?
Personal accounts with up to 15 Geeps are free forever. That's your primary Geep plus all your data Geeps (.email, .phone, .address, .meet) plus room to create your own locations. Business, institutional and government namespaces are licensed; genuine non-commercial public-good use is free.
Is my data private?
Yes. Geepers never sells your data or uses it for advertising. Data shared through your Geeps is only accessible to people you've explicitly authorised. Service providers you connect with can only see what you've chosen to share with them — never for marketing purposes.
What is a primary Geep?
Your primary Geep is your identity on Geepers — !YourName. It's the root of your namespace. All your sub-Geeps (.home, .work etc.) live under it.
Can I change my Geep name?
Your primary Geep name is permanent once registered — like a domain name. This is intentional: permanence is what makes Geepers useful. Choose your name carefully.
